The brief
Part of the GLA's Mayor's Good Work Standard series. A brand film celebrating The National Gallery as a London employer committed to fair pay, wellbeing, skills and progression for its people.
The approach
A character-led approach grounded in the people and the place. We let the architecture of the Gallery do a lot of the talking, contrasting the grand public-facing spaces with the day-to-day reality of the staff who keep them running.
The shoot
A two-day shoot in and around the National Gallery and Trafalgar Square. Exteriors, interior gallery spaces, contributor interviews, and observational moments with staff and visitors. Lighting was kept minimal to preserve the ambience of the rooms.

In their words
Quiet, human, proud. That's what we wanted and that's what we got. They understood the tone straight away, which made the whole thing easy.
