The brief
A landmark brand film for Drax fronted by TV presenter and engineer Guy Martin. It explores the people, scale and engineering ambition behind the UK’s largest renewable power station.
The approach
A cinematic, contributor-led approach. Guy’s curiosity and engineering credentials gave us a natural way into the operation. He met the engineers, walked the plant and got hands-on with the kit, while we captured the scale and texture of the site around him.
The shoot
A multi-day shoot across the Drax site in North Yorkshire: turbine hall, cooling towers, rail loops, biomass domes. Drone, handheld and locked-off camera work were combined to give the edit visual range, with on-the-day flexibility around live operational schedules.
