Spectrum Noir & Crafter's Companion

Spectrum Noir is a fast-growing and best-selling maker of premium art materials, backed by Sara Davies' (Dragon's Den) brand Crafter's Companion. Spectrum Noir has developed a growing range of alcohol and watercolour mediums designed to suit beginners, colorists, students, and artists alike.

This was a very special collaboration indeed! When the Wizarding World of Warner Bros and the Heroic realm of DC decided to collaborate with art expert enthusiasts Spectrum Noir and Crafter's Companion, we knew that magic was about to be made. With products featuring fully licensed and original artworks from the movies and comics, it was our job to create a buzz and get tongues wagging from fans and artists alike!

We were approached to create a full range of digital media launch assets for the new and highly anticipated product launch. We designed concepts, scripts, and storyboarded for 12 videos and combined with plans for product photography within the same shoot.

All captured with one talented artist (with a very sore arm by the end of it!) and within a one day shoot, in an office space in London.

We chose a clean, neutral colour scheme of mostly whites and blacks for both our practical set and for the animated video graphics, to ensure the vibrant colour of the artworks would really pop and sell the products.

Combining colouring timelapses with slow-mo unboxings, original voiceovers with ASMR sketchy soundscapes, and tying the campaign together with a whole host of product photography perfectly placed for web product pages and social media promotion.

Sizing and re-sizing for different platforms we ensured every social format was covered! From TikTok to Youtube, Instagram to Facebook, long form and short form videos in every resolution from 16x9 to 9x16 and even 1x1! The full range of creative digital media assets were used together as an integrated paid online marketing campaign to generate awareness of the new Spectrum Noir products and overall brand, drive traffic to the company website, and deliver conversion into sales.

Delivering a total 16 videos and a bursting library of product photography, we created an abundance of content for this paid promotional campaign, sure to entice artistic shoppers! And with a number of product lines selling out over the festive period, I think we were all very pleased with the result.
